Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Preset, Inc. (“Preset,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs agor.live, the website for the Agor project: its documentation, blog, and community resources, and the place to download Agor Community Edition (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

It covers the Site only. It does not cover:

  • Agor Cloud. The hosted service at console.agor.cloud has its own Agor Cloud Privacy Policy  and Terms of Service .
  • Agor Community Edition installations. When you or your organization run Agor yourselves, your installation and everything in it are yours. Preset does not operate it and does not receive its data, except for the optional community telemetry described in section 5.
  • Other Preset products and websites, which are covered by the Preset Privacy Notice .

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Sign-up and waitlist requests. When you ask for access to Agor Cloud, you give us your email address and may give us your name, company, and role.
  • Demo bookings. When you book a demo, the scheduler collects your name, email address, the time you pick, and anything you choose to tell us about your needs.
  • Messages. When you email us or contact us through the Site, we receive what you send and your contact details.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect information about your visit through cookies and similar technologies:

  • Usage analytics. Pages you view, how you arrived (for example, the referring site or campaign), approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and how you interact with the Site.
  • Visit history for sign-ups. Our marketing tools set a visitor cookie so that, if you later ask for access or book a demo, we can connect that request to the pages you visited. When you follow a link from the Site to Agor Cloud, this identifier is passed along so the request is attributed correctly.
  • How you use pages. Microsoft Clarity records how you interact with pages, such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, so we can find and fix confusing parts of the Site. It masks what you type into forms.
  • Advertising measurement. If you arrive from one of our ads, tags may record that you did and whether you then signed up, so we can measure our campaigns.
  • Hosting logs. The Site is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log technical information such as IP addresses when serving it.

Analytics and marketing cookies are optional. See section 4.

Information that stays in your browser

Some features remember small preferences in your browser’s local storage, such as your cookie choice and whether the home page animations are on. That information stays on your device; it is not sent to us. Site search also runs in your browser: your search terms are not sent to us.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your requests, including Agor Cloud access requests and demo bookings, and follow up with you about them;
  • understand how the Site is used and improve it, including the documentation;
  • measure the effectiveness of our outreach and campaigns;
  • send you updates about Agor if you have asked for them or where the law allows it (you can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it);
  • protect the Site and its users, and prevent fraud and abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers who help us run the Site and handle requests, under contracts that limit how they can use it. Currently these are Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, and Ads), LinkedIn (ad measurement), HubSpot (forms, the demo scheduler, email, and marketing analytics), Microsoft (Clarity), and GitHub (hosting).
  • With Preset’s affiliates, for purposes consistent with this policy.
  • For legal reasons, such as complying with a subpoena or court order, or protecting the rights, property, or safety of Preset, our users, or others.
  • In a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

Some advertising measurement may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out at any time by rejecting optional cookies, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as that opt-out.

The Site links to other services, such as GitHub, Discord, YouTube, and npm. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

4. Cookies and your choices

You can accept all optional cookies, analytics cookies only, or none. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the Site asks the first time you visit; everywhere else, make or change your choice with Cookie settings, linked at the bottom of every page.

  • Necessary storage keeps the Site working and remembers your choices. It is always on.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) help us understand how the Site is used.
  • Marketing cookies (Google Ads and LinkedIn, through Google Tag Manager, and HubSpot) measure our campaigns and connect sign-up and demo requests to the visits that led to them.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics and marketing cookies stay off unless you accept them. Elsewhere, they are on unless you turn them off or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

Without optional cookies. Without analytics cookies, Google Analytics still receives basic measurement signals, and without marketing cookies, so does Google Ads: for example, that a page was viewed or a sign-up was completed, along with standard technical information like your browser type and IP address. These signals set and read no cookies and carry no identifier that recognizes you across pages or visits, so they can’t be linked to you later, even if you accept cookies afterward. Google uses them to estimate aggregate statistics for us. Microsoft Clarity, LinkedIn, and HubSpot don’t load at all without your consent.

You can change your choice at any time: . You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Turning optional cookies off does not affect how the Site works.

Cookies and storage we use

Lifetimes are set by each provider and may change. Cookies on another provider’s domain (such as linkedin.com) are set by that provider.

5. Agor Community Edition and community telemetry

Agor Community Edition is source-available software that you install and run yourself. Your prompts, code, repositories, conversations, and other data stay in your installation; Preset does not receive them.

Agor includes optional, anonymous community telemetry that helps the maintainers understand installs and usage. During setup, Agor explains it and asks whether to turn it on, and it sends one anonymous install result so the maintainers can count installs. Ongoing telemetry, if you turn it on, sends aggregate information such as the Agor version, operating system family, configuration modes, and usage counts. It never includes prompts, messages, code, repository names, file paths, names, email addresses, secrets, or tokens. You can turn all telemetry off, including the install result, by setting AGOR_TELEMETRY=0 or DO_NOT_TRACK=1. The FAQ lists exactly what is collected.

When you download Agor from a package registry such as npm or from GitHub, that service’s terms and privacy policy apply to the download.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above: for example, sign-up and demo records for as long as we have a relationship with you or your organization and for a reasonable period afterward, and analytics data according to our providers’ retention settings. We delete or de-identify information we no longer need, unless the law requires us to keep it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@preset.io. We will verify your request and respond as the law requires, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent, subject to verification.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Preset is the controller of personal information collected through the Site. We rely on your consent for optional cookies, on our legitimate interests to run, secure, and improve the Site and to follow up on requests you make, and on legal obligations where they apply. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing, and you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

U.S. states. Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the rights described above, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising or “sharing,” which you can exercise through cookie settings or a Global Privacy Control signal. If we decline your request, you can appeal by emailing privacy@preset.io with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line; if the appeal is unsuccessful, you may contact your state Attorney General.

9. International transfers

Preset is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. For transfers out of the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we rely on our providers’ certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension and Swiss-U.S. counterpart where they hold it, and otherwise on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age where local law requires it), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@preset.io and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it prominent on the Site.
